Why is data backup so important?

One of the most understated facts in computer repair is the importance of backup. A backup is performed when all necessary and crucial data in a computer’s hard drive are copied into an external media (CD-Rom, USB flash drive, external hard drive, floppy disk, etc…).

It is very important to understand that only the data (the file(s) created using a specific software) can be backed up. It is not possible to back up a software or program itself. If a restore is needed to fix an issue, all software will have to be re-installed in the new OS.

For this reason, we recommend that you keep a copy of all software installed in your computer in a safe place. It is very likely that you will need it at one point or another.

VERY IMPORTANT:We ask that you make a backup of all your data BEFORE using our services. Even though we take every precautions to safeguard the data on all computers, it is always a possibility that some data may be corrupted or deleted during the diagnostic phase.
